# Police Seek Witnesses After Violent Assault in Herlev

A peaceful drive turned into a nightmare for a 42-year-old man in Herlev, Denmark, when he was attacked by two men on electric bicycles. The dramatic incident occurred on Monday afternoon at the intersection of Symfonivej and Andantevej.

According to the West Zealand Police (Vestegnens Politi), who issued an appeal on the social media platform X, the situation escalated due to road rage. The 42-year-old man reportedly drove closely past the two men, which seemingly provoked them.

The two men followed the van, a white Fiat Talento, and began to hit and kick the vehicle, resulting in a broken side mirror and several dents. The situation escalated further when the driver of the van exited his vehicle. One of the men began to hit him, while the other grabbed him by the neck. The attack continued, causing the 42-year-old man to suffer facial injuries, which the police have not yet detailed.

After the assault, the two men fled westward along Symfonivej. They are described as appearing Eastern European, approximately 180 centimeters (about 5 feet 11 inches) tall, and around 30 years old. Both were wearing dark clothing, and one had a thin beard. The electric bicycles they were riding had wide tires and were possibly of the Mate brand.

Police are urging witnesses who saw the incident or have footage of it to come forward and contact the West Zealand Police (Vestegnens Politi).
