## Tragic Knife Attack in England: Two Children Killed and Several Injured

A tragic incident occurred on Monday afternoon in the western English town of Southport, where a man launched a knife attack targeting both children and adults. According to British police, two children were killed in the attack.

Six children and two adults are reported to be in critical condition following the violent assault, which took place during a Taylor Swift-inspired yoga and dance workshop attended by around 25 children. The workshop was held in Southport, located just north of Liverpool.

Eyewitness Bare Varathan, who owns a corner shop on Hart Street—where the attack took place—described the horrific scenes he witnessed. “I saw between seven and ten children outside the nursery. They were injured and bleeding. They were running away from the nursery. They had been stabbed here, here, and here—all over,” recounted the eyewitness, indicating areas on his neck, back, and chest.

The children participating in the event were reportedly aged between six and eleven years old. A 17-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident. There are no immediate reports regarding the arrested individual’s identity or motive; however, police have stated that the incident is not being treated as a terrorist-related attack.

The report of the knife attack came into the emergency services around 11:50 AM local time (12:50 PM Danish time), according to police statements reported by Sky News.
