Aggressive Man Causes Disturbance at Restaurant in Aarhus

On Monday at noon, a disturbance occurred at a restaurant located at Telefontorvet in Aarhus C, Denmark. A man exhibited threatening behavior and began eating off other patrons’ plates, prompting a police report. According to the East Jutland Police’s (Østjyllands Polit) daily report, it was primarily customers at the McDonald’s who were disturbed by the man’s actions.

Police patrols were immediately dispatched to the scene; however, the man had left the restaurant before their arrival. Eyewitnesses reported that he continued down Strøget, the main pedestrian street in Aarhus, where he shouted at passersby, kicked at objects, and spat toward people.

The situation escalated near the Cathedral (Domkirken), where the man, who was shirtless, was detained by security personnel. Upon arrival, the police took over the situation and identified the man as a 51-year-old. He was charged with spitting at a security guard and creating public unrest. After his arrest, he was transported to the police station for detoxification.
