A tragic highway accident near Kolding: Elderly man on motorcycle has died

A tragic incident occurred on Monday evening near Kolding, Denmark, when a 72-year-old man riding a motorcycle was struck by a car on the Esbjerg Motorway. The elderly man lost his life in the accident.

The Southeast Jutland Police (Sydøstjyllands Politi) received the report late on Monday evening from a witness who was present at the scene. Duty officer Søren Liisberg informed on Tuesday that the motorist involved in the accident did not sustain any physical injuries. However, the life of the motorcyclist could not be saved.

A traffic inspector was called to conduct a thorough investigation of the accident site. The role of the traffic inspector is to analyze serious traffic accidents and assess factors such as speed and braking.

According to duty officer Søren Liisberg, preliminary findings from the traffic inspector’s investigation indicate that the motorcycle was struck from behind. However, the rest of the investigation is still ongoing, and the final conclusion has not yet been released.

So far, no individuals have been charged in connection with the traffic accident.
