A police chase in Randers, Denmark, has resulted in a major traffic accident after an unmarked police car attempted to stop a fleeing motorcyclist. The incident occurred on Viborgvej, where the patrol vehicle collided with a car driven by a 47-year-old woman. This collision led to multiple other vehicles being involved, resulting in a total of eight individuals affected by the accident. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured, but several were transported to the hospital for precautionary checks.
The police pursuit began when authorities suspected that the motorcyclist was riding without a valid driver’s license. In an attempt to evade arrest, the motorcyclist was traveling at significantly higher speeds than permitted, which contributed to the severe accident.
East Jutland Police (Østjyllands Politi) have encouraged any witnesses to come forward and share information about the incident or the motorcyclist’s subsequent actions. People with relevant information that could assist in the investigation can contact the police at phone number 114. The police are already aware of the motorcyclist’s identity and expect to reach out to him at a later time.
