Two Arrested Following Shooting Incident in Kolding, Denmark

Two individuals have been arrested in connection with a shooting incident in Kolding, Denmark, where a man sustained a leg injury. The Southeast Jutland Police (Sydøstjyllands Politi) announced on Thursday that they had apprehended a 17-year-old Swedish boy and a 37-year-old Danish woman on Wednesday evening.

The shooting occurred on Vejrupsgade around 10:30 AM on Wednesday. Following the incident, police quickly issued a public appeal for information regarding two masked individuals seen on electric bicycles. As part of the investigation, authorities have identified an additional suspect, who is still at large and is being urged to turn themselves in.

The 17-year-old is scheduled to appear before a judge on Thursday afternoon, where the Prosecutor’s Office (Anklagemyndigheden) will seek his detention. No decision has yet been made regarding the possible detention of the arrested woman.

The Southeast Jutland Police are encouraging local residents and businesses in the areas surrounding Vejrupsgade, Østergårdsvej, and Tøndervej to share any surveillance footage with the police, as it may be crucial in resolving the case.
