Man Seriously Injured by Train at Bjerringbro Station, Denmark

On Friday evening, a serious incident took place at Bjerringbro Station, where a 60-year-old man was struck by a train. The Mid and West Jutland Police (Midt- og Vestjyllands Politi) reported that the man suffered the traumatic loss of one leg in the accident and is currently hospitalized at Aarhus University Hospital in Skejby with critical injuries.

The incident occurred shortly before 6 PM, after the man reportedly fell onto the tracks in front of the train. Several witnesses at the scene noted that he may have been intoxicated at the time of the incident. Despite the severe nature of his injuries, the man was conscious when rescue personnel arrived, according to duty officer Anders Bøje Hansen. He was quickly airlifted to the hospital, where doctors are now fighting for his life.

It remains unclear whether the incident has affected train traffic at the station. The police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
