A 25-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were charged on Friday with complicity in attempted murder following a shooting incident at Blågårds Plads in the Nørrebro district of Copenhagen on Wednesday evening. The hearing at the Copenhagen City Court on Friday at 1 PM was scheduled to determine whether the two suspects would be held in custody.
Copenhagen Police announced on Friday that they had arrested the man and woman in connection with the shooting at Blågårds Plads. During the court session, the 25-year-old man appeared relaxed, while the woman was visibly affected by the situation and was crying. Both suspects denied the charges.
The shooting occurred on Wednesday evening around 9 PM, but fortunately, no individuals were hit. Shortly after the incident, a 16-year-old Swedish boy was arrested and charged with attempted murder, as he allegedly fired at least one shot with a 9mm Glock pistol at an unknown person. The boy was also charged with possession of a 9mm Taurus pistol found in an apartment in Hvidovre, a suburb of Copenhagen.
The man and woman presented in court on Friday are also charged with weapon possession. The 16-year-old boy has denied the charges and was ordered to be held in detention for 27 days in a closed psychiatric facility.
