On Thursday evening, a dramatic incident unfolded at a pizzeria on Hovedgaden 9 in Mørkøv, Denmark, prompting several police patrols to respond to reports of a large fight. Mid and West Zealand Police (Mid- og Vestsjællands Politi) reacted quickly to information suggesting that an individual may have been stabbed with an object—possibly a knife. In response to this potentially dangerous situation, the police dispatched additional units to the area.

“We also received reports that someone might have been stabbed with an object—perhaps a knife—and therefore we sent a few extra units,” stated duty officer Thomas Hartmann.

Upon arrival, however, the police discovered a different situation than expected. It turned out that an individual had injured themselves on a bottle and had not been the victim of a stabbing as initially believed. Police believe the person fell and cut themselves on a broken bottle after a fight broke out among a larger group of people.

Four men, aged between 37 and 48 years, were arrested and charged with violating public order regulations for initiating the fight. All four men were reportedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. The fight did not result in serious injuries, and the injured individual was taken to the hospital for treatment. The police have yet to determine what started the altercation.
