A 26-year-old man was stabbed on Saturday evening after allegedly threatening a group of young boys. The incident took place at Frederikssund Station, resulting in the injured man facing charges for making threats.
According to Duty Officer David Buch from North Zealand Police (Nordsjællands Politi), the incident stems from a previous conflict between the man and the group of young boys. The 26-year-old reportedly escalated the situation by threatening the group, which led to a physical confrontation in which he was stabbed multiple times with various sharp objects. He has since been treated for his injuries at a hospital.
Police have arrested three boys aged between 15 and 17 in connection with the incident. The young individuals are charged with aggravated assault under Danish law, and prosecutors believe there is sufficient basis for their detention.
The boys are set to appear in a preliminary hearing at the Court of Hillerød (Retten i Hillerød), where a judge will determine whether there is enough evidence to keep them in custody during the investigation.
Authorities are also searching for a fourth perpetrator who took part in the violent incident. Police have an idea of his identity and are encouraging him to come forward.
This incident is a tragic example of how a conflict can escalate into violent confrontations. It underscores the need to address disputes without resorting to violence.
