Nørrebro, a vibrant neighborhood in Copenhagen, woke up early Sunday morning to the sound of a loud explosion and shattering glass. This incident has prompted the Copenhagen Police (Københavns Politi) to launch an extensive investigation. According to duty officer Stefan Ladeby, the police received multiple reports at 12:55 AM from residents who reported the alarming noise followed by the sound of broken windows.
The investigation is currently centered on Lundtoftegade, where the explosion occurred near an apartment building. Authorities are operating under the hypothesis that a detonation took place at the location. As of now, there have been no reports of injuries or arrests related to the incident.
Stefan Ladeby is urging the public to contact the police if they have seen or heard anything suspicious. A police presence in the area will continue for the next several hours, with officers also being visible throughout the morning as part of a community safety initiative.
