Gas Leak Detected in Ribe, Denmark; 300-Meter Safety Zone Established

On Monday morning, a breach was reported in a gas pipeline in Ribe, near Hedegårdsvej number 4. The South and South Jutland Police (Syd- og Sønderjyllands Politi) announced on the social media platform X that the breach has caused a significant gas odor in the area.

To ensure public safety, a safety distance of 300 meters has been established in the direction of the wind. The police explained that the pipeline must be ventilated before repairs can commence. As a result, it is expected that the gas smell will be noticeable for most of the day.

Authorities are urging everyone in the vicinity to remain vigilant and keep their distance until the situation is under control.
