On Monday afternoon, drivers on the East Jutland Motorway (Østjyske Motorvej) should prepare to find alternative routes heading south. The motorway is completely closed due to a truck accident that has caused significant traffic challenges.
The incident occurred when a truck collided with the guardrail, causing it to move from the northbound to the southbound lane. This has led to the introduction of a detour at exit 57. The Southeast Jutland Police (Sydøstjyllands Politi) announced the situation on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) and urged drivers to seek alternative routes to avoid further congestion. In addition, several rescue vehicles are on-site to manage the situation.
Not only is the southbound direction affected by the closure, but one lane in the northbound direction has also been blocked, further complicating traffic conditions. Drivers are therefore encouraged to be patient and take the necessary precautions. Rescue operations are expected to take some time, and motorists should prepare for longer travel times.
