A 29-year-old man from Herlev, Denmark, has been remanded in custody on Wednesday, suspected of subjecting his newborn son to severe violence. The suspect has denied the charges and has chosen to appeal the decision made by the Glostrup District Court (Retten i Glostrup), which ordered his detention for four weeks. The Copenhagen West Police (Københavns Vestegns Politi) announced the case in a post on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).

The judge determined that there is a particularly strong suspicion against the man, which weighed heavily in the decision to detain him, also considering the integrity of the judicial process.
