Several hundred residents in Roskilde, Denmark, have been evacuated following a serious incident, according to the Mid and West Zealand Police (Midt- og Vestjællands Politi). The police report that there has been a leak from two large containers of sulfuric acid and nitric acid at the company Danæg, located at Maglegårdsvej 13.
The evacuation includes the surrounding area, which encompasses the educational institution ZBC (ZBC – Zealand Business College) and several residential properties, as a precautionary measure. Police officers and other authorities are currently on-site to manage the situation and secure the area. The initial cordon is not expected to be expanded.
