On Wednesday morning, police and rescue teams were quickly called to a farm in Ting Jellinge, located northwest of Næstved, following reports of a workplace accident. The incident occurred at a farm in the southern Zealand area, where a man had fallen into a grain silo.
Lars Danholt, the duty officer from the South Zealand and Lolland-Falster Police (Sydsjællands og Lolland-Falsters Politi), reported that witnesses to the event reacted swiftly and alerted the authorities. Rescue teams arrived promptly and successfully pulled the man out of the silo. After the dramatic rescue, the man was immediately examined for any potential injuries, but fortunately, it appeared that he had emerged uninjured.
However, the man underwent additional checks to ensure that he had not sustained any hidden injuries. “He complained a bit of pressure in his chest, as he had been standing with grain up to his neck,” the duty officer stated. The cause of the accident and how the man ended up in the silo remain unknown. According to the duty officer, the silo in question was a smaller one, located inside a barn. At this time, no further information regarding the circumstances of the incident has been released.
