France Defeats Germany 73-69, Advances to Olympic Final

PARIS – Guerschon Yabusele was in outstanding form, scoring 17 points and leading France to a thrilling victory over Germany with a score of 73-69 in the semifinals of the Olympic Games. The French victory was celebrated by an enthusiastic home crowd, who supported the team in their pursuit of the gold medal.

Isaia Cordinier also contributed to the win with 16 points, while young star Victor Wembanyama secured 11 points and seven rebounds. With this victory, France has qualified for its second consecutive Olympic final, having previously won the silver medal at the Tokyo Games three years ago.

As the host nation for the Paris 2024 Olympics, France looks forward to playing in the final, where they await the winner of the semifinal matchup between Serbia and the USA. This final will be an opportunity for the French to compete for the coveted gold medal and improve upon their performance from Tokyo.

Dennis Schroder was the standout player for the German team, scoring 18 points, but he could not prevent an impressive winning streak from coming to an end with the loss. Germany, however, has had an excellent journey, having won 12 consecutive international matches over the past two years, including victory at last year’s World Championship.

The upcoming final promises to be an intense and exciting contest as France seeks to claim the top spot on the podium in front of their home crowd.
