In the early hours of Sunday, Aalborg experienced a serious shooting incident at a Circle K gas station on Hadsundsvej. The event occurred shortly after midnight, resulting in injuries to seven individuals. Among the injured was a 19-year-old man who sustained a leg injury.

The police acted swiftly, arresting six individuals present at the scene. Two vehicles were also seized, one of which had visible bullet holes. Witness reports indicated that a dark vehicle sped away from the location immediately following the shooting.

Subsequently, the police investigation led them to the Ø-gade neighborhood, which was secured by officers armed with submachine guns. Local residents were advised to stay away from Færøgade and Karolinelundsvej during the operation. There, a 21-year-old man was arrested and charged with attempted murder. He was escorted from the property wearing a DNA suit, a precaution commonly used in crime scene investigations to collect evidence.

Police Commissioner Carsten Straszek emphasized the seriousness of the incident, noting that it occurred in a public area and expressing regret over the sense of insecurity it has created among citizens. The initial arrests revealed that the arrested individuals were in fact victims and have since been released. As a result, the police now consider a total of seven individuals to be victims.

Investigations are ongoing to determine whether the shooting incident is connected to previous conflicts in the area, specifically between the groups GT and A12. The 21-year-old suspect is expected to be presented before a judge on Monday with a request for continued detention.
