A 27-year-old man lost his life in a tragic motorcycle accident near Silkeborg on Saturday evening. The police reported that the accident occurred on Linå Skovvej (Linå Forest Road) around 8 PM. According to Duty Officer Allan Riis from the Central and West Jutland Police (Midt- og Vestjyllands Politi), the man was part of a group of motorcyclists, but at some point, he rode ahead of the group. Shortly after, the other motorcyclists noticed that he had veered off the road.
The duty officer explained: “They could see from the tracks that he had gone off the road and hit a tree, so they immediately called for help.” The emergency doctor who arrived at the scene pronounced the 27-year-old man dead. The cause of why he lost control of the motorcycle is still unknown, and the police are working to clarify the circumstances surrounding the accident. The deceased’s relatives have been notified about the tragic event.
