The North Jutland Police (Nordjyllands Politi) is issuing a clear warning about a new scam email that is circulating in many Danish inboxes. According to the police’s announcement on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), recipients should be aware of an email that pretends to be from BroBizz, a service used for electronic toll collection, asking them to update their payment information to avoid service interruption.
The police emphasize that this is a scam. The email, which has also been received by B.T. (a Danish newspaper), warns users that without updating their billing information, they risk having their BroBizz service interrupted. It contains a prominent link urging recipients to rectify the alleged errors by providing their payment details.
The North Jutland Police strongly advises against clicking on links in such emails. Instead, individuals are encouraged to contact BroBizz directly if they have doubts about the authenticity of a message. It is crucial to protect personal information and remain vigilant against scams like this.
