On Tuesday evening, the Copenhagen Police (Københavns Politi) mobilized extensively in Tingbjerg, a neighborhood in Brønshøj, following reports of a “suspicious situation” that led to an arrest. The police presence was first announced via the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), where it was noted that special measures were required in response to the situation.
Jesper Frandsen, the duty officer of the Copenhagen Police, confirmed to B.T., a Danish newspaper, that one person has been arrested, although he could not provide further details regarding the reason for the arrest. “We expect to remain in the area for about another hour,” Frandsen stated.
The police operation involved several units, including dog patrols and bomb disposal teams. The scale of the operation is highlighted by the fact that a large area near Utterslev Mose, close to Ã…kandevej, has been cordoned off. Images from the scene show that both bike paths and pedestrian walkways are included in the blockade.
Additionally, photographic evidence shows a person in a DNA suit being escorted away by police. The area around Ruten and Ã…kandevej is under close surveillance, and the situation is being continuously monitored.
