Travelers commuting by train between Aarhus and Fredericia will experience reduced service until Friday, according to DSB (Danish State Railways). On this typically busy route, where three trains per hour usually operate during the daytime, the frequency will be temporarily reduced to two trains per hour.
The reason for this reduction in service is an acute shortage of operational train sets, DSB explains. It has not been specified whether this shortage is due to technical issues, maintenance work, or other factors.
The reduced train service means that most regional trains on this route will not be running, which primarily affects the stations in Brejning and Børkop. These stations will be served by bus replacements until Friday instead. Additionally, some of the other trains on the route will make additional stops at the Hedensted station, which may extend travel times by a few minutes.
DSB advises travelers to stay updated through Rejseplanen (Travel Planner) for the latest information on train departures. If passengers experience delays of more than 30 minutes, DSB’s travel time guarantee will come into effect, allowing them to seek compensation.
