Two British citizens have been identified as the deceased found in a burnt-out Danish car discovered in Malmö on July 14. The men, 33-year-old Juan Cifuentes and 37-year-old Farooq Abdulrazak, had rented the vehicle at Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup Lufthavn) just hours before their deaths. Senior Prosecutor Magnus Petersson has confirmed that the identified individuals are indeed the renters of the car.
The British citizens were reported missing by their families the day after the vehicle was discovered. The prosecuting authority is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding these tragic deaths and is currently conducting interviews and gathering evidence. According to Swedish media reports, there was a third person in the car when the two men crossed the Øresund Strait. English sources indicate that one of the deceased worked as a travel agent, and that the men were on a business trip in both Denmark and Sweden.
