Early Saturday morning, an emergency alert was issued in Svanemøllehavn, Copenhagen, after a woman was found lifeless in the water. Swimmers from a local swimming club discovered the woman just before 6 a.m. and immediately alerted the authorities. Copenhagen Police (Københavns Politi) and the Capital Region’s Emergency Management (Hovedstadens Beredskab) quickly responded by sending divers and surface rescuers to the scene, while emergency medical services were also dispatched.
According to Dyre Sønnicksen, duty officer at Copenhagen Police, the woman was rescued from the water and swiftly transported to the Trauma Center at Rigshospitalet, the largest hospital in Denmark, where she is currently receiving treatment. Her condition is described as critical.
