Østjyllands Police (Østjyllands Politi) arrested three men aged 27 to 35 over the weekend in connection with a serious case of gang rape in central Aarhus. A 37-year-old woman reported the incident to the police on Saturday afternoon. According to Duty Officer René Ludvig, the report was made around 1 PM, where the woman stated that she had experienced a violent and unwanted event.
The police’s swift response led to the arrests of the three suspects, but two additional perpetrators remain at large. At this time, the police are withholding details as the investigation is still ongoing, and the potential accomplices have not yet been apprehended. Duty Officer Ludvig confirmed that there is no known connection between the victim and the arrested men.
The three suspects are scheduled to appear in a preliminary hearing (grundlovsforhør) on Sunday, where a decision will be made regarding their continued detention. The Østjyllands Police are working intensively to apprehend the remaining suspects and to clarify the serious crime.
