A three-year-old boy who went missing from a daycare center on Ventevej in Frederikssund, Denmark, has been found safe and sound. According to an update from North Zealand Police (Nordsjællands Politi), the boy was located in a nearby forest by an alert citizen and has now been reunited with his parents.
Following the report of the boy’s disappearance around 11:40 AM on Monday, an extensive search operation was initiated. The child was missing for more than three hours, but fortunately, he was found without any signs indicating a criminal act.
The search effort drew significant support from the local community, with many volunteers gathering at a designated parking area to receive instructions from the police. Among those assisting were emergency services from Emergency East (Beredskab Øst), who deployed a drone equipped with a thermal camera to aid in the search.
The drone was launched at 12:15 PM. Its thermal imaging technology helped scan the wooded area quickly and effectively, contributing to the successful location of the missing child.
