On Monday, the police intensified the search for a three-year-old boy who has gone missing from his daycare center in Frederikssund, a town in Denmark. North Zealand Police (Nordsjællands Politi) have been active in the area around Ventevej since the missing person report was filed at 11:40 AM.
The police have stated that, at this point, there are no indications of a crime involved. “We are working intensively in the area around Ventevej to locate the three-year-old boy who is missing from his daycare,” North Zealand Police wrote on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) at 1:15 PM.
Authorities have also asked for assistance from volunteers but have urged them to avoid green spaces to not disrupt the work of police dogs. The police inspector emphasized the importance of this to enhance the efficiency of the dogs’ tracking efforts.
The search efforts are additionally supported by Emergency Management East (Beredskab Øst), which has deployed a drone equipped with a thermal camera to assist the police. The drone was launched at 12:15 PM and can help locate the boy by detecting heat signatures.
The various measures taken by law enforcement and the involvement of advanced equipment demonstrate a strong commitment to quickly reunite the missing boy with his family.
