A bus fire has caused significant traffic issues on Zealand, particularly on Route 21 Oddenvej heading towards Odden. According to reports from DR P4 Traffic, the incident is affecting traffic in both directions. The Mid and West Zealand Police (Midt- og Vestsjællands Politi) have confirmed that the bus is ablaze, with duty officer Asger Bechstrøm stating that all passengers have been evacuated unharmed. Police and rescue services are en route to the scene. However, it is still unclear whether there are any injuries.
The fire has also spread to nearby vegetation, adding to the challenges at the site. DR P4 further reports massive traffic congestion as a result of the incident. Jesper Maack, press officer for Molslinjen, was on-site shortly after disembarking from the ferry at Odden. Maack confirmed that it is a Combardo Express bus that caught fire just a few kilometers from the ferry terminal. There is currently no information on whether the incident will affect Molslinjen’s ferry departures.
