A teacher from a school in Ringsted, Denmark, was arrested by the Central and West Zealand Police (Midt- og Vestsjællands Politi) on Thursday morning after it was discovered that he had filmed multiple students in the changing room using a hidden camera. The school promptly contacted the police after the discovery was made, and the police acted quickly by apprehending the suspect.
The teacher has admitted to being behind the clandestine recordings, and authorities have now confiscated the technical equipment for closer examination. During the investigation, the police have charged the man with violation of public decency, although the inquiry is still in its early stages.
“We are working to determine how many children were recorded. Right now, we know that the affected students are from grades 3 and 5,” stated Deputy Police Inspector Lars Krogsgaard from the Central and West Zealand Police.
After completing the interrogation of the teacher, the police plan to release him while the investigation continues. The school has committed to informing all parents about the incident and will take necessary steps to ensure that something like this does not happen again.
