DR’s hit show “Married at First Sight” returns with a strong start to its tenth season. The program, which matches singles in a marriage with a stranger, has received a record number of applications this year, and the premiere episode has already been praised by critics.
Kristian Dam Nygaard from BT expresses particular optimism, stating that this season’s opening episode is the most promising to date: “I don’t recall an opening episode generating such a strong belief in the concept,” he remarks. Similarly, Jakob Steen Olsen from Berlingske agrees that there is potential for an exciting season filled with genuine romance.
The first episode introduces two of the four couples for this season, Anette and Frank, as well as Morten and Søren. Berlingske highlights Morten and Søren as having the best chances of success. “Well, chemistry and kimchi – we believe in them,” writes Jakob Steen Olsen. Politics’ Eva Eistrup also has high expectations, declaring it a personal offense if the two do not end up with lifelong happiness.
The show, which tests whether love can blossom through matchmaking, continues to attract significant attention and fascination from both audiences and critics. If the premiere episode is any indication, viewers can expect a season filled with hope, drama, and perhaps a happy ending for some of the participants.
