Amira Smajic, known from the television documentary ‘The Black Swan’, has been sentenced to imprisonment by the Court in Herning, Denmark. She received a three-month prison sentence, with one month to be served unconditionally, for offenses including document forgery. Smajic was not present in court when the ruling was announced. According to her lawyer, Berit Holmstrøm, she was ill on the day of the hearing.
Smajic faced charges for submitting false information to the court in connection with a bankruptcy petition for a hair salon. She, along with the director of the company behind the hair salon, is accused of submitting a bankruptcy petition to the court to have the company declared bankrupt. The indictment reveals that a contract, which was part of the case, was between the company and an individual referred to as K. It was discovered that K had never been employed by the company, and the contract was fabricated. This case has now resulted in Smajic being sentenced to prison.
