Two Teenagers Arrested with Large Knife in Islands Brygge
Two teenage boys have been arrested by the Copenhagen Police (Københavns Politi) in the Islands Brygge area of Copenhagen after a notably large knife was discovered. The duty officer at Copenhagen Police, Esben Godiksen, reported that a call regarding a man with a knife was received at 7:42 PM, prompting a swift police response which resulted in the arrests.
The individuals taken into custody are 15 and 18 years old, born in 2008 and 2005, respectively. When asked about the intentions of the young men concerning the knife, the duty officer stated that it is still too early to comment on the situation.
“It is far too early to say anything at this point,” said Esben Godiksen, adding that there have been no reports of anyone being injured by the knife.
It is worth noting that Danish law stipulates a maximum length for knives and daggers of 12 centimeters (approximately 4.7 inches).
