On Sunday afternoon, at 5:01 PM, police received a report regarding an assault on a 13-year-old boy, who had just been admitted to the hospital with visible injuries. The incident took place on a football field in Frydenlund, located in Aarhus West (Aarhus V), and, according to East Jutland Police (Østjyllands Politi), multiple young men were involved.
According to preliminary investigations, the boy was subjected to punches and kicks on the football field by Høgevej. An ambulance was called immediately after the attack, and the boy was transported to the hospital. While his injuries were clearly a result of violence, they are fortunately not life-threatening. He has since been able to speak with the police regarding the incident.
Police believe that the assault may have stemmed from some disagreements that have not yet been fully clarified. Further investigations will aim to uncover both the events leading up to and during the assault, as well as to identify the perpetrators. East Jutland Police are urging witnesses to come forward with information.
The police stated: “We would very much like to hear from witnesses who may have seen the incident on the football field, which likely occurred between 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM.” If you have seen anything, you can contact the police at phone number 114.
