Tragic Drowning Incident of German Tourist in Hvide Sande, Denmark

A tragic incident occurred on Monday morning near Hvide Sande, a town on the western coast of Denmark, when a German woman realized her husband had not returned after an early morning swim. Concerned about his absence, she went to the beach with her son-in-law to search for him. There, they found the man lying lifeless at the water’s edge.

Ole Vanghøj, a duty officer for Mid and West Jutland Police (Midt- og Vestjyllands Politi), shared with TV Midtvest the heartbreaking details of the discovery. Despite a rapid response and the arrival of a medical helicopter, it became clear that the man’s life could not be saved.

The deceased was a 78-year-old man, and authorities have indicated that they do not suspect any criminal activity surrounding this tragic death.
