An intense fire broke out at SuperBrugsen, a supermarket chain in Galten, Denmark, prompting officials to advise residents near Søndergade to evacuate the area. The Southeast Jutland Police (Sydøstjyllands Politi) reported the situation early on their social media platform and confirmed that the incident involves a fire at the supermarket.
The fire was reported to the police at 10:55 AM on Thursday. Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries. Due to the heavy smoke, both the police and the fire department have had to respond to manage the situation.
Local authorities have urged residents to respect the roadblocks and allow emergency personnel to carry out their work without interference. The operations chief from the East Jutland Fire Department (Østjyllands Brandvæsen) confirmed that the fire is serious and requires significant effort to contain.
