Mid and West Jutland Police (Midt- og Vestjyllands Politi) issued a public appeal on Thursday morning for information regarding a man suspected of being involved in a serious attack in Thisted, Denmark. The appeal includes a photo and a detailed description of the alleged perpetrator, who reportedly threw two Molotov cocktails at a car parked near Kvix on Østergade on the night of June 23.
The incident occurred around 2:45 AM when the car was occupied by two individuals. Fortunately, both occupants managed to exit the vehicle before the flames engulfed it, thus avoiding injury. Following the attack, the suspect fled the scene on foot.
The police have decided to release surveillance footage of the man in hopes that the public can assist in identifying him. The footage was recorded at a different location where the suspect was seen prior to the attack, as the recordings from the crime scene were unfortunately of poor quality.
The suspect is described as being between 35 and 50 years old, standing 175-185 cm (approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet 1 inch) tall, with an average build and short dark hair. He has notable facial features and a tattoo on his right upper arm. Additionally, he is reported to wear a ring on his right index finger and a wristwatch.
The police are urging anyone with information regarding the man’s identity or whereabouts to come forward. People can contact Mid and West Jutland Police at telephone number 1-1-4 and are asked to reference case number 4100-73341-00025-24 when making an inquiry.
