A tragic conclusion has come one step closer in the case of 85-year-old Niels from Svendborg, who had been missing since July 7. The Funen Police (Fyns Politi) has now announced that the elderly man has unfortunately been found deceased. “He has now been found. Unfortunately not alive,” the police department stated on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

The investigation indicates that there is no indication of any foul play in connection with Niels’ death, which the police have also confirmed. Niels was reported missing after he failed to attend an appointment on July 7 and disappeared in the area around Skovsbo Eng in Svendborg. The police have not disclosed the exact location where he was found.
