A man from the Djursland region, who was reported missing on Friday following the discovery of an empty boat drifting ashore, has been found deceased in Knebel Vig. Michael Hamann, the police duty officer, reported that the man was located in the water. The maritime rescue service and police conducted extensive searches throughout the day in Aarhus Bay, and late in the evening, they were able to locate him.

“There are no indications of foul play, so we consider this to be a tragic accident,” stated Michael Hamann. The search operation intensified after personal belongings were found in the empty boat, which quickly led to the man’s identification and prompted the intensive rescue efforts.
