Banedanmark, the Danish railway infrastructure authority, has announced that train services between Aarhus and Hobro are not expected to resume until Sunday evening. A signal malfunction has disrupted train traffic on this route, resulting in a complete halt of services since 11 AM on Sunday.
As an alternative for affected passengers, Banedanmark has arranged for bus services to operate along this route. Travelers are advised to stay informed through the Rejseplanen (Travel Planner) website and the MitTog app for updates on the situation.
Initially, Banedanmark had hoped to resolve the issue by approximately 1:30 PM; however, the situation turned out to be more complex than anticipated. Attempts to restart the signaling system have not rectified the fault, and technicians are still working diligently to restore the connection and resume train services.
Passengers traveling between Aarhus and Hobro should prepare for additional delays, as Banedanmark is currently unable to provide a specific timeline for when normal operations will be resumed.
