A dense fog has affected several areas in Denmark on Thursday morning, leading to significantly reduced visibility. Motorists are advised to allow extra time for morning traffic to ensure safe driving conditions. The Danish Meteorological Institute (Danmarks Meteorologiske Institut – DMI) reported on the social media platform X that the fog has reduced visibility to under 100 meters in many locations. When visibility falls below one kilometer, meteorologists classify it as fog. DMI categorizes visibility under 500 meters as “very poor visibility,” the lowest level on their scale.
Particularly, the Jutland regions (Jylland) have been severely impacted by the fog this morning, according to a map shared by DMI. The thick fog is expected to lift during the morning, and the day will bring mild autumn weather with temperatures ranging from 18 to 22 degrees Celsius (64 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit) and sunshine, as reported by DMI.
