The police’s closure orders for the Hells Angels’ clubhouses in Odense and Nørresundby, Denmark, have been extended and will remain in effect until October 3, 2024. Both Funen Police (Fyns Politi) and North Jutland Police (Nordjyllands Politi) confirmed this decision in posts on social media platform X, emphasizing that the current situation has not changed.
The closure, which now extends over a full year, was initially implemented on September 22, 2023, in Nørresundby and on September 25, 2023, in Odense. The police justified the extension with a preventative approach, noting a persistently high threat assessment related to an ongoing conflict. Chief Police Inspector Jesper Bøjgaard Madsen from North Jutland Police stated last year that there is a significant risk of attacks on the properties, which has led to the enforcement of the closure orders to ensure safety in the area.
Hells Angels’ clubhouses in other parts of the country may also face potential extensions of their closure orders, which are set to expire soon. Violations of these closure orders can result in prison sentences of up to two years.
