A woman and two men have been detained on charges of functioning as cocaine dealers and selling drugs worth 118,000 Danish kroner (approximately 16,000 USD). The three individuals were arrested on Wednesday, during which police seized several hundred sales bags of cocaine and a significant amount of cash.
The Copenhagen City Court (Københavns Byret) held a hearing on Thursday where the prosecution presented the charges against the trio. While the two men denied their guilt, the woman partially admitted to selling 1.6 grams of cocaine and possessing 33.2 grams distributed in 83 sales bags.
The judge agreed to the prosecutor’s request to continue the hearing behind closed doors, allowing the police investigation to proceed without public oversight. In the open session of the court, the charges were read aloud, which included the discovery of more than 118,000 Danish kroner and 569 sales bags containing 227.6 grams of cocaine at an address in Værløse, a suburb of Copenhagen.
Police believe the money is derived from the sale of 158 grams of cocaine that the three accused are alleged to have distributed as so-called “white dealers.” This term refers to pushers who deliver cocaine directly to customers on demand, a practice that has led to similar designations, such as “brown dealers” for hashish dealers.
The situation highlights ongoing concerns regarding drug trafficking and its impact on communities in Denmark and beyond. The detained individuals will continue to face legal proceedings as the investigation unfolds.
