“New Life Science Center ‘Forskaren’ Inaugurated in Stockholm”

Amidst great ceremonial fanfare, the new life science center “The Researcher” was inaugurated in Stockholm yesterday, with both the Danish King Frederik and the Swedish King Carl Gustaf in attendance. The event marked an important moment in Danish-Swedish cooperation and was celebrated as a milestone for scientific research and development in the region. King Frederik and King Carl Gustaf, both known for their keen interest in science and innovation, worked together to unveil the blue cloth covering the entrance to the new center. With an efficient pull of the cloth, they revealed the building’s facade together, after which King Carl Gustaf officially declared the center open.

“The Researcher” is the result of close collaboration between Danish and Swedish architects and researchers. The center, designed by the renowned Danish architectural firm 3XN, is located in Hagastaden, a new district in the northern part of Stockholm aiming to become a hub for life science and biotechnology. During the opening ceremony, the two royals emphasized the importance of continued cooperation between Denmark and Sweden, especially in the field of research and development. This collaboration is seen as a driver of innovation and as a way to address common challenges across borders.

The new center will house various research facilities and laboratories working in different areas of life science, including medicine, biotechnology, and environmental science. It is expected that “The Researcher” will play a central role in the development of new health solutions and technologies that can benefit not only Sweden and Denmark but also the rest of the world. With the opening of “The Researcher,” not only is Danish-Swedish cooperation strengthened, but the two countries’ position as European leaders in research and innovation is also reinforced.
